Safe and Sound has over the years been heavily involved in restoration and conservation work for various buildings within the Derbyshire and surrounding area and is a listed nominated contractor for English Heritage work, and has been for more than 11 years. The company takes pride in restoring buildings to their former glory. Restoration work involves many different trades such as stone-masonry roofing, building and joinery work and in order to take on this work Safe and Sound has continued to invest in various high quality machinery to enable the flexibility that is required in order to offer a full restoration service.
Safe and Sound has a fully equipped carpentry / joinery shop and particularly specialises in working with oak, ash, and various other hard woods and has designed and built many different projects such as new roof turrets, gates, windows etc., many of which have been built to exact specifications due to the requirements of English Heritage and listed buildings regulations.
